Kettlehead Brewing, located in Franklin, NH, approached us with an interesting challenge. They wanted their beer label to include a cartoon family enjoying Thanksgiving but didn’t want to risk rejection from their local TTB because the label might appeal to children.

We understood their desire to keep their original design, but also their need to conform to the state’s labeling laws. We determined the most viable solution would be to print a 2-part label where one section would peel away to reveal the fun drawing. This technique has been used before for customers who want a fun label they can peel off a can or bottle and stick it somewhere else to remember the brand. This was the opposite idea, as the design underneath the peel-away was the real gem.

Our multi-step production process produced the results Kettlehead wanted without having to give up on their original design. It also gave consumers an added bit of excitement when they realized there was more to the label then they would have thought when they purchased the cans.
