The most common options are foil stamping, embossing and spot varnishes.

Label Foil Stamping
Foil stamping is the process of pressing a foil onto a label using a hot or cold plate depending on the substrate. There is a long list of foil color and patterns available, as well as a variety of shades for most colors. We’ll work with you to determine the best production method and foil choices for your label, based on the material you select and desired output.
Label Embossing
Embossing is the process of using pressure to push an image or text through the material to create depth and texture. Traditional embossing is done to raise the profile of a printed area of the label, and it can also be used in conjunction with foil stamping. Blind embossing is when this method is used in areas where there is no print, so the embossing itself becomes part of the design.
Label Spot Varnishes
Spot varnishes are a cost-effective way to highlight or differentiate parts of a label. Varnish options include gloss, matte, stain and tactile finishes. The contrast that is created with the use of a spot varnish can give even a simple label design an expensive feel.
